Hormones & Contraceptive Medicine Supply for Hospitals & International Buyers

Hormonal and endocrine medicines cover a wide spectrum of clinical need, from contraception and menopause management to thyroid disorders, adrenal insufficiency, fertility treatment and diabetes. Euro Biom works with NHS hospitals, women's health clinics, endocrinology departments and international healthcare buyers to supply these medicines reliably, including products that have experienced shortage or that are unavailable through local distribution channels in GCC and African markets.

Thyroid medicines are among the most widely prescribed long-term treatments globally. We supply levothyroxine in all available strengths, including the branded formulations to which patients in the UK are stabilised on clinical grounds where brand switching has caused adverse effects. Liothyronine (T3) for combined thyroid replacement is also available. For hyperthyroidism, we supply carbimazole and propylthiouracil in the tablet strengths used in UK clinical practice.

Adrenal medicines are critical for patients with Addison's disease, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and other conditions requiring corticosteroid replacement. Our range includes hydrocortisone tablets (subject to significant UK shortage in recent years), fludrocortisone for mineralocorticoid replacement, prednisolone and dexamethasone. Hydrocortisone tablets can be sourced urgently where hospitals face local shortages; hydrocortisone injection is subject to UK export restrictions and falls outside Euro Biom's supply scope.

Contraceptives, HRT and Fertility Medicines

Our contraceptive portfolio covers combined oral contraceptives across all major brands and formulations, progestogen-only pills (including desogestrel), emergency contraception (levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate), injectable contraceptives (medroxyprogesterone acetate, norethisterone enantate) and hormone-releasing implants. These products are supplied to pharmacies, family planning services and international buyers requiring UK-sourced branded products.

HRT experienced well-documented supply shortages in the UK from 2019 onwards; estradiol-based HRT products are subject to UK export restrictions and fall outside Euro Biom's supply scope. Our range for menopause management includes micronised progesterone (Utrogestan) and tibolone.

Fertility medicines require careful sourcing and often involve temperature-sensitive cold-chain handling. We supply clomifene citrate for ovulation induction, GnRH analogues used for pituitary downregulation (buserelin, leuprorelin, triptorelin) and progesterone vaginal pessaries (Cyclogest) for luteal phase support. Recombinant gonadotrophins (FSH, LH) and hCG are biologics and fall outside Euro Biom's WDA licence scope.

The endocrine category overlaps with diabetes management through newer glucose-lowering agents. SGLT2 inhibitors and other oral diabetes medicines are available. Euro Biom trades exclusively in UK-licensed medicines and does not supply vaccines, biologics, biosimilars, insulin, blood products or controlled drugs.
